Terms & Conditions

12. Community and Forums

Zokario now has rooms where members can talk: forums, comments, reviews and other community spaces. What you write there remains yours. You keep full ownership of your posts, reviews and any other content you contribute.

By posting, you grant Zokario a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, display, reproduce, format and excerpt your content on the site and in materials that present the community, for example a quoted review on a product page. This license exists so the community can function; it does not make us the author of your words.

You are responsible for what you post. Only share content you have the right to share, and keep it lawful and civil. We may moderate, edit for formatting, move, hide or remove any content at any time, for any reason or for none, with or without notice. Hosting a post is not an endorsement of it.

Member posts express the views of their authors, not of the house. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zokario accepts no liability for content posted by members, for reliance placed on it, or for disputes between members.

13. Membership Levels and Moderation

Community standing follows a simple ladder. Minor issues earn a written notice. Repeated or more serious issues can lead to temporary limits on posting, then suspension, then permanent removal from the community. Genuinely serious conduct, such as harassment, fraud or unlawful content, can skip the ladder entirely and go straight to removal.

If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, you may appeal by writing to support@zokario.com within 72 hours of the decision. Tell us plainly what happened and why you think we misread it. Each decision may be appealed once, and we will reply after a genuine human review.

Final say on all moderation and membership matters rests with the house. Once an appeal has been decided, that decision is final. Removal from the community does not affect your license to titles you have already purchased.

14. Subscriptions: The Gilded Circle

The Gilded Circle is our paid membership. It renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and your saved payment method is charged the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you ahead of time if the price is going to change.

You can cancel anytime from your account, with no forms and no phone calls. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle: you keep your perks until then, and no further charges are made. Amounts already paid for the current cycle are not refunded unless the law of your region says otherwise.

Member pricing applies to at most 2 discounted titles per calendar month. Unused discounts do not carry over to the next month, and discounts cannot be exchanged for credit or cash.

Perks may evolve. We may add, adjust or retire individual benefits as the Circle grows, and we will announce any meaningful reduction before it happens. Continuing your membership after a change means you accept it; if you would rather not, cancelling is always one click away.

15. Support and Contributions

From time to time members choose to support the house with a voluntary contribution. We are grateful for every one, and we want to be precise about what they are: gifts, freely given.

Contributions are non-refundable. They purchase no goods, services, equity or ownership, and they buy no influence over what we publish, how we moderate, or who wins anything. A generous contributor and a quiet reader stand equal before the house. Contributions are not investments and are not charitable donations for tax purposes.

16. Contests

Our contests are contests of skill. Winning depends on the quality of the work submitted, not on chance, and no random drawing is involved.

Where a contest charges an entry fee, that fee is non-refundable, including for entries that are withdrawn, disqualified or unsuccessful. Entry fees pay for running the contest, not for a result.

Winners are chosen editorially by the house against the criteria published for each contest. Our judging decisions are final, and we do not enter into correspondence about scoring beyond what a contest's own rules provide. By entering, you confirm the work is your own and grant us the display license described in the Community and Forums section.

Contests are void where prohibited. It is each entrant's responsibility to confirm that entering is lawful where they live, and to handle any taxes or reporting that a prize may carry under local law.

17. Commissioned Work: The Atelier

The Atelier accepts commissions for custom pieces at 12.99 USD per commission, payable in advance. A commission covers exactly the scope described on the commission page and confirmed in your brief; anything beyond that brief is a new commission at a new fee.

Delivery follows the window shown when you place the order. If no window is shown, we deliver within 14 days of confirming your brief. If we are ever going to be late, we will tell you before the window closes rather than after.

Each commission includes one round of reasonable revisions within the original scope. Further rounds, or changes that redraw the brief, may be declined or quoted as new work.

The house may decline or cancel any commission at its discretion, including briefs that are unlawful, infringing, or simply not a fit for our shelves. If we cancel before work begins, the commission fee is refunded in full. Finished commissions are delivered under the same personal license as our other titles: yours to keep and enjoy, not to resell.

18. Indemnity and Release

By using the community, subscription, contest or commission features, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Zokario, its owner, and its staff and contractors from any claims, demands, damages, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, the content you post, or your conduct, including any breach of these terms or of another person's rights.

You also release the house from claims arising out of disputes between you and other members. If two readers quarrel, we may step in as moderators, but we are not a party to the quarrel.

Your acceptance of these terms is recorded with a timestamp when you create your account, and that record serves as evidence of your agreement. Continued use of the site after any update to these terms renews that acceptance.

Where the law allows, any dispute between you and Zokario will be resolved individually through binding arbitration or, at either party's choice, in small claims court, rather than through class or representative actions. Both sides waive participation in class proceedings to the fullest extent the law permits.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part will be trimmed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in full force.

A note before launch

These sections are a carefully written template, not legal advice. Laws on subscriptions, contests, arbitration and consumer rights vary by country and change over time. Have a licensed lawyer in your jurisdiction review this document before commercial launch.
